Welcome to Our Mynachdy Community Centre, a warm and welcoming space in Cardiff where local people can connect, learn, and grow. We are a volunteer-led charity dedicated to reducing loneliness and isolation in our community.

Classes and activities

We run a diverse range of classes and activities for all ages, from children to adults. Whether you're looking to learn a new skill, stay active, or simply have fun, you'll find something to enjoy.

Hall hire for your event

Our community hall is available for private hire, perfect for parties, meetings, and other special occasions. It's a spacious and versatile venue in the heart of Mynachdy, Cardiff.

Collection and Information point

We are a collection point for the recycling bags and caddies for food waste. Call in when the Hall is open

Who is able to use the Community Centre?

The centre is available to use for all but some classes and activities are aimed at children or older residents

On a Tuesday we cater to over 50s but all are welcome.

Shazza's Cafe

Please bring cash as we do not have card facilities yet.

Shazza's cafe - Friday

Dementia friendly, everyone is welcome.

A good range of home cooked hot and cold meals and desserts reasonably priced are available.

We play Bingo  - £2  for 3 games

Raffle and other games - £1 a ticket

Are you Dementia friendly?

Yes we are.

Everyone is welcome and many already attend with their carers. We do not have staff to look after people so if they require assistance a carer will need to attend with them at all times.

When are you open

Various classes and activities run throughout the week, these can be seen on the relevant page.

Tuesday and Friday we are open for social events between 12 and 4 pm and this is usually the easist time to see someone if you need to pop in.

Can you obtain new recycling bags from the Hall?

Yes we keep Blue and Red recycling bags at the Hall along with food caddies and food waste bags.

Help and Advice

Our local Councellors run a regular surgery at the Hall for local people to discuss and problems which they can help with. 

Do you have a bar?

No we do not have a bar or a liquor license for the premises

Do you hold evening events?

Evening events are held for members only. These are ticketed events and not open to the general public.
